Fat women are happier and more secure in their relationships than their slimmer counterparts, according to research.
 
A study of 4,000 women between the sizes of six and 26 revealed 25 per cent of girls size 14 and under feel unhappy and paranoid about their weight and relationships.
 
Three quarters of those blamed the pressure of remaining slim and strict diet regimes for their unhappiness.
 
Three out of five ladies over a size 14 said they felt no such pressure and were generally happy at home and comfortable with their appearance.
