The start of the school holidays will mark the beginning of the summer season at beaches across the UK.
 
As part of its summer Beachwise campaign, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is urging families to think about some of the risks in order to ensure a safe and fun trip to the beach.
 
The RNLI has identified the ‘E.A.S.Y.’ chain with four critical links.  Everyone heading to the beach this summer should ensure that they have a complete chain in order to reduce the risk of drowning.
